They find that The Archivist, a fanatical elder seeking to purge the old ways—has created a Bleeding Rift at the Forge’s heart, an anchor designed to accelerate the Sundering and permanently end the age of Myths. To save Glenelder, Callianna must use her voice to weave the ancient Canticle of the First Spark, pouring the soul of the myth into the tear, while Wylder must use his practical magic to provide the physical anchors and structure to hold reality together. Surrounded by the Archivist’s anti-magic defenses and relentless Obsidian Sentinels, the two must achieve a perfect, desperate synergy—risking their lives and their deepest magical convictions—to prove that the legends of the past and the reality of the present are destined to be forged as one.
